Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antti Kantola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Nevsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Nevsky has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antti Kantola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexander Nevsky!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kantola throws a body punch but Nevsky moves out of range.
Kantola misses with a wild body shot.
Nevsky lands with a straight right. Kantola didn't see that one coming.
Kantola lands a nice shot that snaps Nevsky's head back.

Nevsky throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kantola was covering up waiting for the punch and Nevsky finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kantola is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kantola pulls Nevsky in close to prevent any damage.
Kantola bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nevsky's guard.

Nevsky escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kantola gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kantola wants to pass the guard but Nevsky is keeping the position.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Nevsky is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nevsky uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Kantola lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Nevsky shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kantola napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kantola is looking to regain half guard here but Nevsky keeps moving and retains side control.
Nevsky lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kantola down.

Nevsky tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nevsky has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Nevsky throws an elbow but Kantola slips to the side and avoids it well.

Nevsky cracks Kantola with a big right hand but Kantola just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nevsky wants to get back to his feet but Kantola is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A big strike lands for Nevsky! That's really hurt Kantola and he's turned his back - Nevsky keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Nevsky jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Nevsky!
A relieved looking Alexander Nevsky thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
