Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boone Straud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Straud has chosen 140 ounsers! as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andy Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boone Straud!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Straud misses with a takedown
enabling Scott to counter with a crisp jab.


It looks like Boone Straud has been cut.
Straud shoots and misses

so Scott counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Scott gets to his feet. Straud looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Scott wants to clinch up but Straud keeps it at a distance.
Nice takedown defense from Scott. No joy for Straud on that attempt.

Straud shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Straud was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Scott is trying to control Straud's posture but Straud avoids it.

Straud swings around for an armbar but Scott sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Straud's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Straud can do anything to dispel that myth.

Straud is working an open guard so Scott takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Straud shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Scott's guard.

Straud really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Scott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

You can see the frustration on Scott's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Straud is staying tight to Scott's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Scott looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Straud fails to land the takedown.
Scott misses the jab.
Straud shoots in for a takedown but Scott shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Scott goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Straud looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Scott counters with a straight right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott throws a lazy uppercut
and Straud counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Scott changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Straud tries to avoid it but Scott manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Straud to the ground. Straud escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Straud fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Scott.
Straud closes this distance looking for a takedown but Scott circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Straud scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Scott manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Straud keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Scott pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Straud looking to score a takedown here. Scott is defending well but Straud drives through and ends up in Scott's guard.
Scott bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Straud's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Scott stands and steps away. Straud gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Straud goes for a double leg but Scott avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Scott continues to drive forward.

Scott manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Scott looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Scott is looking to control Straud's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Scott avoid being mounted?

Scott lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Straud circles away quickly and effectively.
Straud tries to score a power double leg takedown but Scott sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Straud somewhat.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Scott shoots in but Straud avoids the takedown attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andy Scott will probably get the nod.

Straud shoots in for a takedown but Scott shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Straud is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Scott is just riding it out for now. Straud eventually gives up the hold.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Scott, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
