Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Spat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gigantor Ubereem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ubereem has chosen - as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Spat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gigantor Ubereem!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spat fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ubereem to the ground. Spat is now in Ubereem's guard.
Ubereem being controlled here, momentarily.

Spat avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Spat throwing strikes but missing.
Spat content to stall in guard here.
Spat postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ubereem keeping moving, preventing Spat from controlling successfully.

Ubereem is looking for a triangle but Spat pushes his legs off easily.
Spat wants to control from the top but Ubereem keeps moving.
Ubereem keeping full guard, as Spat tries to pass.
Spat seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jack Spat has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Spat clinches with his opponent.
Spat has a couple of punches blocked by Ubereem.

Ubereem gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Spat manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ubereem manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spat wants to control from the top but Ubereem keeps moving.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Spat is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ubereem is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ubereem has escaped and now he's on top!
Spat manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Spat throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Spat can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ubereem is looking to escape.
Spat sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spat trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Ubereem is in all sorts of trouble here.
Spat throwing strikes but Ubereem uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Spat in particular looking to stall.

Jack Spat has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Spat closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Spat takes the fight into the clinch.
Ubereem blocks a body shot from Spat.
Ubereem tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Spat's elbow.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Ubereem is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Spat misses with a hook from the clinch.
Spat stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Spat lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Spat here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Ubereem has had enough of the clinch but Spat keeps him there for the moment.

Ubereem's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ubereem!


It looks like Jack Spat has been cut.

Spat has closed the distance and engaged Ubereem in a clinch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Spat has a couple of punches blocked by Ubereem.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Spat takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Ubereem doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Spat with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Ubereem fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Spat goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Spat throws a head punch that misses.
Spat lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ubereem backwards.

Ubereem breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ubereem throws a hook to the side of Spat's head but Spat sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Spat drives through and clinches with Ubereem against the cage.
Spat misses with the head strike.

Spat works on Ubereem's body with a couple of short punches.
Spat swings wildly with an uppercut but Ubereem uses good head movement to avoid it.
Spat wants to stall.

Ubereem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Spat closes the distance and pushes Ubereem back into the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Spat.
Spat trying to stall but Ubereem improves his position.
Spat tries a knee to the head but Ubereem blocks it.
Spat throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ubereems head.
A right hook to the body lands for Ubereem.
Ubereem presses Spat against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Ubereem lands a good knee to the midsection. Spat won't want to take too many of those.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spat misses with some punches.
Spat wants to get back to striking at distance but Ubereem won't allow it.

Spat working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ubereem manages to break the clinch.
Ubereem lands with a right hand.
Spat looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Spat throws a nice outside leg kick.
Spat slips a straight right by Ubereem.
Ubereem throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Spat counters with an outside leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spat avoids the body shot from Ubereem.
Ubereem throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Spat.
Ubereem dodges the ground and pound from Spat.
Spat is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Ubereem is trying to get back to half guard.
Spat trying to control the position but Ubereem is working away.
Ubereem tries to improve position but can't.
Spat wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ubereem keeps working.
Spat staying calm.

Spat steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ubereem.

Spat drives through with a takedown into Ubereem's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Spat wants to control from the top but Ubereem keeps moving.

Ubereem is looking for a triangle but Spat pushes his legs off easily.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Ubereem throws a lazy right hand but Spat sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jack Spat is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jack Spat is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Spat is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Ubereem tries to circle away but Spat has him pinned against the cage.
Spat's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Spat swings away with an uppercut that misses.
A nice left hand lands by Ubereem.
Ubereem tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Spat's elbow.
Spat dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Spat misses with a punch to the body.
Gigantor Ubereem has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Spat.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Spat, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
