The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Blackley trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Blackley has gone for a leg lock! Wennstrom slips out almost immediately though and dives into Blackley's guard.
Blackley has his foot on Wennstrom's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wennstrom works his way back into a safe position though.
Blackley is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Blackley will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Blackley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Blackley is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Wennstrom frees his head nicely. Oh but Blackley has switched to an armbar! Wennstrom is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
