PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stowall Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Stowall Jackson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Masters shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Masters keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Masters shoots for a double leg takedown but Jackson sprawls well. He's pushed Masters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Masters. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Masters tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Masters ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Jackson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Masters changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Masters manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Stowall Jackson seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Masters closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Masters pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
