The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lloyd.
Vlubb lands a nice looking body kick.

Lloyd throws a big elbow that misses.
Lloyd throws a strike but Vlubb rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Vlubb must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lloyd isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Vlubb stacks Lloyd on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Vlubb!

Lloyd is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Vlubb gets his way!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Keith Vlubb hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Vlubb sizes up Lloyd with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Lloyd tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vlubb just stands there and leans against the cage.
Vlubb jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lloyd walks away with a smile on his face. Vlubb gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Vlubb shoots in looking for a takedown but Lloyd manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Vlubb's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Huey Lloyd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keith Vlubb.

Lloyd goes for a double leg but Vlubb avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Vlubb continues to drive forward.

Vlubb shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Lloyd counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vlubb's guard now.
Vlubb manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lloyd manages to get himself to full guard.
Lloyd bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vlubb's guard.

Lloyd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vlubb has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lloyd has managed to get both his arms back between Vlubb's legs - danger averted.

Well Vlubb has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
