Sherk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pope is fending him off so far but Sherk persists. Nope, Pope circles away and we're back to standing.
Pope looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pope has his takedown stuffed
and Sherk counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Sherk.
Sherk pulls Pope into guard.
Sherk looking to control.
Sherk is looking to sinch up a triangle. Pope throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Sherk's body to avoid the submission. Sherk has instead reached around Pope's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Sherk arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
