Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jay Perrin!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perrin drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jimenez wants to sweep but no luck.
Jimenez is looking to stand up but Perrin isn't so interested in that idea.
Perrin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Jimenez wants to stand but Perrin is controlling the position.
Jimenez is pulling down on Perrin's head. It's preventing any offense from Perrin, at least for the moment.
Jimenez wants to stand and escape but Perrin is having none of it.
Perrin trying to control the position from guard on top but Jimenez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Perrin is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jimenez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Perrin.
Jimenez tries to kick Perrin off but Perrin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Perrin is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jimenez!
Perrin can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jimenez is looking to escape.
You get the feeling that Jimenez really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Perrin prevents Jimenez from getting the reversal.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Perrin throws some wild stikes that Jimenez manages to avoid easily.
Jimenez is looking to improve his position but Perrin isn't that keen on the idea.

Jimenez is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Jimenez pushes Perrin off looking to stand but Perrin dives back in and keeps control.
Perrin wants to take a breather but Jimenez is having none of it.
Perrin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Jimenez haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jimenez is trying to stand up here but Perrin is controlling him well.
Perrin is trying to control the action in half guard but Jimenez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jay Perrin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Perrin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jimenez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Jimenez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Jimenez is looking to stand up but Perrin isn't so interested in that idea.
Perrin pushes down on Jimenez's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Perrin is pressing down on Jimenez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jimenez is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jimenez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Perrin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Perrin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Jimenez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jay Perrin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Perrin closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jimenez's guard.
Perrin won't allow Jimenez to get back to his feet.

Jimenez has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Perrin has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Well Perrin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
