The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, John Mangel and Ben Hemmingworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shepard looks to land a combination. Travis sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Shepard connects with a body shot that sends Travis's belly button to the back.
Shepard stalks Travis and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Travis's face. Travis staggers backwards, shaken.
Shepard jabs at Travis's body.
Shepard scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Travis showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shepard.
Shepard goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Shepard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Travis makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Travis drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Travis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Travis stands up from Shepard's guard - Travis perhaps looking for a knockout.
Shepard misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice takedown defense from Shepard. No joy for Travis on that attempt.
Shepard misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Travis.
Travis shoots for a double leg takedown but Shepard sprawls well. He's pushed Travis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Travis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Travis tries to pull guard but Shepard forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Travis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Shepard manages to get himself to full guard.

Jex Shepard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Travis dives in and grabs Shepard's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shepard pushes down on Travis's head and hops out.
