Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Junior Wallace will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Teddy Head!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Junior Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Wallace will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Wallace.
Wallace misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Wallace gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Head counters with a big head kick but Wallace shrugs it off.
Wallace looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Head is fending him off so far but Wallace persists. Nope, Head circles away and we're back to standing.
Teddy Head has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junior Wallace.

Head keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Wallace's efforts to push away.
Wallace will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Head up against the cage.
Head is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wallace to keep the fight standing.
Head could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Head has Wallace pressed against the cage, preventing Wallace from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Junior Wallace.
Wallace throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Head's waist but Head gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wallace off to one side.

Wallace is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Wallace clinches up with Head and pushes him back against the cage.

Head manages to pull guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wallace accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Wallace wants to control from the top but Head keeps moving.
Head is pulling down on Wallace's head to control his posture.

Wallace clobbers Head with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Wallace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Head.
Junior Wallace seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Head rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wallace moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Wallace looks to land a combination but Head avoids it well.
Head takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Head throws a sloppy head kick and Wallace moves out of range easily.
Head throws a looping overhand right but Wallace ducks down to avoid it.
Wallace closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Wallace throws the kick towards the body but Head avoids it.

and Head counters with a good low kick that Wallace was not able to check.
Wallace shoots in for a double leg but Head sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Teddy Head has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Junior Wallace.

Wallace pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Head back to the cage. Wallace follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Head lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wallace!

Head is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Wallace has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Wallace!

Wallace wants to pass the guard but Head is keeping the position.
Head manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wallace manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Junior Wallace will probably get the nod - 10:9.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Junior Wallace is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Teddy Head.
I think Wallace has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
