And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Steven Brown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha keeps the fight on the outside.
Cooke lands with a kick to the temple. Rocha shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Josef Rocha has been cut.
Rocha shoots in for a double leg but Cooke sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cooke lands with a kick to the ribs.

Cooke clinches up with Rocha and pushes him back against the cage.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cooke takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Rocha tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cooke smiles and moves away.
Rocha tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cooke is able to avoid easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cooke tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rocha swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Conor Cooke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rocha avoids a punch combination nicely.

Cooke has Rocha up against the cage in a clinch.
Cooke drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rocha pulls his leg out and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooke tries to clinch but Rocha is having none of it.

Cooke instigates a clinch.
Rocha is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Cooke to keep the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josef Rocha. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cooke landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Rocha tries to pull guard but Cooke holds him up against the cage and eventually Rocha drops back down to his feet.

Cooke breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cooke checks the leg kick nicely there.
Cooke throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rocha's waist but Rocha gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cooke off to one side.
Cooke tries to clinch up.

Cooke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick from Cooke lands but Rocha takes it in his stride.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cooke lands a brutal head kick. Rocha looks out on his feet and Cooke throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
