The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starstryder misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hughs.
We've been told by Starstryder's head coaches at Le Prieuré de Sion that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hughs wants to clinch
and Starstryder connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Starstryder misses the shot to the body.
Hughs tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hughs uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Starstryder.
Starstryder throws a low kick, looking for Hughs's leg but Hughs calmly moves out of range.
A clash of legs there as Hughs blocks the low kick.
Starstryder avoids the head kick by Hughs.
Starstryder tests Hughs's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Starstryder throws a lazy head kick
and Hughs counters with a one-two to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Starstryder throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hughs on the side of the head.
Hughs misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cosmo Starstryder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hughs shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Starstryder defends it nicely.
A head kick misses from Starstryder.
Hughs looks for the body kick but Starstryder saw that one coming.
Starstryder lands a leg kick that knocks Hughs off balance momentarily.

Starstryder lands a big right hand that sends Hughs crashing to the mat! Starstryder stays standing though and waves Hughs back to his feet!

Hughs is rocked!

It looks like Joe Hughs has been cut.

Hughs is still on wobbly legs! Can Starstryder finish him?
Hughs wants to stay close but Starstryder steps back to make room for something. Hughs seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Starstryder and Hughs drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
