The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson stuffs the takedown.

Mytilinaios dives in and grabs Simpson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Simpson pushes down on Mytilinaios's head and hops out.

Mytilinaios shoots for a double leg takedown but Simpson sprawls well. He's pushed Mytilinaios's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mytilinaios closes the distance and clinches up with Simpson, looking for a takedown. Mytilinaios pushes Simpson against the cage but Simpson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mytilinaios. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Mytilinaios looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Simpson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Mytilinaios had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Mytilinaios feints and as Simpson raises his hands in defense, Mytilinaios changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Mytilinaios thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mytilinaios is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Simpson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Simpson has escaped and now he's on top!

Mytilinaios working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simpson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Simpson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Simpson wants to control from the top but Mytilinaios keeps moving.
Simpson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Simpson wants to stand but Mytilinaios has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Simpson has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Mytilinaios to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Simpson is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Mytilinaios pulls down on the head and he's put Simpson to sleep! This one is all over!
