Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Royal Osborn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrew Morgan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Royal Osborn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Morgan!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osborn moves out of range of the leg kick from Morgan.
Osborn has a takedown stuffed.

Morgan closes the distance and clinches.
Osborn really is a fat lump.
Osborn tries to pull guard but Morgan holds him up against the cage and eventually Osborn drops back down to his feet.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Morgan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Osborn manages to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Morgan throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Morgan is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Osborn presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Osborn tries to work over Morgan's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Morgan is trying to trip Osborn. He has hold of a leg but Osborn is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Morgan persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Morgan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Osborn is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Morgan, into his guard.

Osborn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Osborn drops his hands momentarily and Morgan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Morgan throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Royal Osborn has been cut.

Morgan clinches up against the cage.
Morgan using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Osborn has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Osborn keeps control of Morgan as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Morgan wants to break free but Osborn has control.
Morgan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Morgan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Osborn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Morgan decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morgan wants to get back to striking at distance but Osborn won't allow it.

Osborn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Osborn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Osborn holds on and takes a little breather.

Osborn thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Morgan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Morgan throws an elbow that misses. Osborn uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Morgan's guard. Nice move by Osborn!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Osborn lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Morgan.
Osborn is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Osborn gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Osborn gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Osborn apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Morgan feints and as Osborn raises his hands in defense, Morgan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Osborn has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Osborn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Morgan manages to get himself to full guard.

A close second round but Andrew Morgan will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Osborn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Morgan wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Osborn manages to pass to side control.
Morgan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Morgan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Osborn's guard.

Morgan wants to stand and escape but instead Osborn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Andrew Morgan has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Osborn has his foot on Morgan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morgan works his way back into a safe position though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Royal Osborn.
Well Morgan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
