Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gennaro Gattuso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Professor Green - Monster . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones thows a leg kick but Gattuso checks it
and Gattuso makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jones lands with a thumping leg kick.
Gattuso has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gattuso attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Jones throws a right and a left that Gattuso avoids nicely.
Gattuso throws a hook but Jones blocks it.
Jones takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gattuso stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gattuso doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
Gattuso tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gattuso somewhat.
Gattuso is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gattuso wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well.

Gattuso is trying to ground and pound but Jones uses the momentary lack of control by Gattuso to regain half guard.

Gattuso throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Jones to regain full guard.

Gattuso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jones swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gattuso wants to control from the top but Jones keeps moving.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gattuso is one step ahead there.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gattuso throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gattuso.
Gattuso dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Gattuso's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gennaro Gattuso. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gattuso throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Gennaro Gattuso will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gattuso fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Gattuso has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Gattuso there as he acknowledges the shot.
Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gattuso.
Gattuso changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Gattuso manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Gattuso shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.

Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Whack! Jones lands a heavy head kick that drops Gattuso. The ref tackles Jones to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Gattuso was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Michael Jones!
