Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kees Flodder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl feat. Georgi Kay - In My Mind. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kees Flodder was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kees Flodder!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks to land a body kick but Flodder moved away.
Smith cracks Flodder with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Smith fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Flodder on the side of the head.
Smith tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Flodder to counter with a crisp jab.
Flodder displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Smith throws out the jab.
Smith dives in for a single leg takedown but Flodder sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Flodder wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smith has him pressed against the cage.
Flodder has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Smith tries for a takedown but Flodder manages to get underhooks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Flodder tries to break the clinch but Smith is controlling the position.

Smith has hold of one of Flodder's legs. Flodder is fighting the takedown attempt but Smith gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Flodder has his foot on Smith's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Smith works his way back into a safe position though.

Flodder wants to stand up but Smith is controlling him.
Flodder pulls Smith in close to prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Flodder lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Flodder wants to stand but Smith has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Flodder gets to his feet. Smith looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Smith lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Smith throws a low kick but Flodder moves out of range easily.
A combination from Smith does no damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Smith dives in and grabs Flodder's left leg, looking for a takedown. Flodder pushes down on Smith's head and hops out.

Smith throws a quick inside leg kick.
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Flodder sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Flodder as he avoids it easily.
Jimmy Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Some wild striking there from Smith.
Smith stalks Flodder and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Flodder's face. Flodder staggers backwards, shaken.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Smith will probably get the nod.

Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Flodder's guard.
Flodder is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Flodder is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Smith presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Flodder is trying to push Smith away but Smith has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Flodder tries to circle away but Smith has him pinned against the cage.
Smith changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Flodder fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Smith throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Sloppy strikes from Smith. Those never looked like landing.

and Flodder counters with a nice uppercut.

Oh Smith is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Flodder gets caught flat footed, as Smith shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Smith sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Flodder's guard.
Flodder has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Smith is working away from the top position though.
Flodder might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Smith haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Flodder wants to get back to his feet.
Flodder is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Flodder moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Smith postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Flodder. Flodder circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Flodder tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Flodder to the ground. Flodder escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Flodder sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kees Flodder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Flodder swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I would just about give that final round to Kees Flodder.
I think Smith has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
