Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ric Crowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alen Zalac!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowell looks to land a right hand but Zalac moved out of range.
Zalac looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Crowell drives through and clinches with Zalac against the cage.
Crowell lands a hook to the side of the head.
Crowell dodges an elbow strike from Zalac.
Crowell is looking to take this one to the mat.
Zalac tries to land a knee to the head but Crowell blocks with his arms.
Crowell prevents a takedown attempt there.
Zalac is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Crowell to keep the fight standing.
Ric Crowell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alen Zalac.
A short left from Crowell.
Crowell lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Crowell lands a left hand that snaps the head of Zalac backwards.

Crowell breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've been told by Crowell's head coaches at Nonprofit Vegas Elite $50 ($1000 value) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Crowell misses with a wild combination.

Crowell clinches up against the cage.

Zalac with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Crowell breaks from the clinch.
Crowell connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Zalac's hands.

Zalac looking to score a takedown here. Crowell is defending well but Zalac drives through and ends up in Crowell's guard.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Crowell controlling Zalac's posture.
Crowell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Crowell pushes Zalac off and scrambles back to his feet.

Crowell drives through and clinches with Zalac against the cage.
Zalac tries for a takedown but Crowell manages to get underhooks.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Crowell misses with a punch on the inside.

Crowell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sloppy strikes from Crowell. Those never looked like landing.
Zalac swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Zalac avoids a punch combination nicely.
Crowell shoots in for a takedown but Zalac shows good takedown defense.
Zalac tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Crowell connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Alen Zalac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Crowell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Zalac swivels and escapes.
Zalac throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Crowell.

and Crowell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Crowell gets a clinch.

Crowell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Crowell tries to clinch but Zalac is having none of it.
Crowell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Crowell wants it to stay on the feet.
Crowell is looking to clinch.
Crowell doesn't manage to clinch there - Zalac circles away.
Crowell scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Zalac is rocked!
Zalac has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Crowell lands a slapping body shot.
Zalac is still on wobbly legs! Can Crowell finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
No luck for Crowell with that takedown attempt.

Crowell rushes Zalac and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Zalac takes a shot to the head.

Crowell breaks the clinch.

Zalac tries to keep at a distance but Crowell has taken the fight into the clinch.

Crowell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Crowell is defended easily by Zalac.
Crowell lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ric Crowell!
An out of breath Ric Crowell thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
