Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jasper Mclaughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atticus Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Atticus Finch is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Atticus Finch!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finch misses the shot to the body.

Mclaughlin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Finch tries to get to full guard but Mclaughlin has control of the leg.

Finch looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Finch is looking to control Mclaughlin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Finch avoid being mounted?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mclaughlin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Finch is on top in guard.

Finch is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mclaughlin can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Finch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mclaughlin keeps working.

Finch is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mclaughlin defends it well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Finch is pressing down on Mclaughlin's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mclaughlin is holding on for now.

Atticus Finch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Finch is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Mclaughlin is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Mclaughlin flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Finch anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Mclaughlin and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Finch slips an arm under Mclaughlin chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Finch has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Finch is squeezing on Mclaughlin like an anaconda would it's prey. Mclaughlin fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Atticus Finch!
