Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Justin Sane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Read (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sane comes to the cage accompanied by Voices. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sane darts in looking for a takedown but Read gets double underhooks and turns Sane into the cage.
Read prevents Sane from breaking the clinch.
Sane blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sane tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Read avoids it.
Sane wants to take the fight to the mat but Read manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Sane effectively controlling the action here.

Read breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sane feints and as Read raises his hands in defense, Sane changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Sane content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Read is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Sane tries to break free but Read pushes him back against the cage.

Read is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Sane.

Sane decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sane thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are battling for position here. Read manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Sane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sane on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Read lands a nice shot to the body.
Sane shoots in for a double leg but Read sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Read counters with a head kick that drops Sane to the mat! Sane scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Read cracks the inside of Sane's front leg.
Oh Sane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sane has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Read.
Sane seems to have got his legs back now.
Sane shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Good standup being displayed there by Read as he connects with a hook.
Read misses with a body kick.
Read jabs Sane right on the nose. Sane blinks but takes it well.

Sane fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Read to the ground. Sane is now in Read's guard.
Read lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Read seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sane is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Read is controlling him.

Justin Sane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Read has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Sane off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Read.
Read is looking to slow Sane down with leg kicks.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Sane shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Read but Read pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mark Read spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
