Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyrone Boone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Laston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boone comes into the arena with Westside Connection Feat. Knoc-Turn'Al - Lights Out blaring out of the sound system. Tyrone Boone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boone keeps the fight on the outside.
Laston wants to clinch up but Boone keeps it at a distance.
Laston lands with a nice combination. Boone backs away looking to recover.

Laston drives through and clinches with Boone against the cage.
Laston has Boone pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Boone manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Laston blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Boone is pressed up against the cage. Laston has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Boone down to the mat. Boone avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A slapping leg kick lands for Boone.
Laston dives in for a single leg takedown but Boone sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Tyrone Boone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Laston.
Laston drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Boone gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Boone breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Boone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Boone throws a sloppy head kick and Laston moves out of range easily.

Laston feints and as Boone raises his hands in defense, Laston changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Laston slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Boone tries a head kick but it misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Laston looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Laston misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Laston looks to clinch

and Boone counters by moving into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boone prevents a takedown attempt there.
Boone throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Laston blocks it with crossed arms.
Laston managing to block the knees to the body from Boone.

Boone pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Laston shoots for a takedown but Boone saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Nice sprawl there from Boone as Laston shoots in.

Laston shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Boone is defending against the submission attempts here by Laston.
Laston is trying to control the action in half guard but Boone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Laston is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Boone is just riding it out for now. Laston eventually gives up the hold.

Laston is working for a kimura but Boone is defending it quite comfortably.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Laston dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Laston throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Boone's waist but Boone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laston off to one side.
Laston fails in his attempt to clinch.
Laston throws a push kick but Boone slaps the foot to one side.
Laston shoots in but no luck this time.

and Boone holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Boone creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Laston's defenses.

It looks like John Laston has been cut.
Laston has Boone pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Boone manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Laston is breathing heavily.
Boone lands a brutal head kick. Laston looks out on his feet and Boone throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
