Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buford Bass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samuel Cameron Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samuel Cameron Jr has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Buford Bass's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buford Bass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Samuel Cameron Jr!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Bass with that takedown attempt.
Bass shoots in and drives through. Cameron Jr sprawls well.

Bass shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cameron Jr is trying to defend but Bass finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cameron Jr manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Cameron Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bass doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bass manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cameron Jr wants to stand but Bass is controlling the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bass's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Cameron Jr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Cameron Jr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cameron Jr looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bass throws a big elbow that misses.
Bass lands a couple of digs.
Bass slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Cameron Jr.
Cameron Jr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bass is working away from the top position though.
Bass thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bass throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Cameron Jr is looking to improve his position.
Bass has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cameron Jr is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Cameron Jr is trying to get back to full guard.
Cameron Jr tries to kick Bass off in order to stand up. Bass Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Cameron Jr is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bass connects with a decent elbow.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bass stands up and we're back to a striking position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bass is looking to clinch but Cameron Jr is avoiding it.

Cameron Jr shoots in and bounces Bass off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cameron Jr wants to stand and escape but instead Bass has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Cameron Jr looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bass has picked Cameron Jr up and slammed him! Cameron Jr can't keep hold of the triangle and Bass manages to pass to side control!

Cameron Jr tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Bass presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Cameron Jr defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Bass.
Bass avoids the attempt from Cameron Jr to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cameron Jr can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bass raining down shots from the mount!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cameron Jr is bucking up trying to escape but Bass cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Buford Bass will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Cameron Jr tries to clinch but Bass is having none of it.

Cameron Jr closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bass did well to prevent Cameron Jr getting side control.

Bass slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Bass wants to stand but Cameron Jr is controlling the position.

Cameron Jr is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bass is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bass has escaped and now he's on top!
Bass postures up in Cameron Jr's guard and throws a big left but Cameron Jr blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cameron Jr is working an open guard so Bass takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Cameron Jr closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Cameron Jr wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bass keeps working.
Bass is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cameron Jr is controlling him well.
Bass is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cameron Jr off and has taken his back!
I really don't envy Cameron Jr right now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bass cracks Cameron Jr with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Cameron Jr from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Cameron Jr trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Bass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bass scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.

Bass will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Buford Bass will probably get the nod.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Samuel Cameron Jr.

Cameron Jr misses with the combination.
Bass changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cameron Jr tries to avoid it but Bass manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cameron Jr to the ground. Cameron Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bass tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cameron Jr manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Cameron Jr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Cameron Jr working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Bass's thigh. Bass counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Bass is working an open guard so Cameron Jr takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bass tries to clinch there but Cameron Jr circles away.

Bass would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bass in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bass is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bass trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Cameron Jr controls Bass momentarily but Bass frees himself.

Cameron Jr moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Bass with a flurry of punches that miss.
Cameron Jr wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bass is now in half guard.
Samuel Cameron Jr has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bass takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Buford Bass is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bass is looking for a kimura here.
