PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dr Dre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leeroy Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins has chosen Rock On as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Dr Dre has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Dr Dre seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins scores with a leg kick.
Jenkins's coach down at Clean and Green was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Jenkins's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Jenkins throws a head kick that half lands.
Jenkins plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Jenkins misses with a head kick.
Jenkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Dre shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jenkins napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Dre remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dre is trying to ground and pound but Jenkins uses the momentary lack of control by Dre to regain half guard.

Dre maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Jenkins could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Dre has cracked it and Jenkins is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Dre!

Dr Dre was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
