The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Patton.

Patton waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Mayweather. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Mayweather to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

It looks like Bishop Mayweather has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mayweather escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Patton gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Patton advances to half guard.
Patton working over Mayweather with some ground and pound. Mayweather looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Patton is trying to control the action in half guard but Mayweather is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patton looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Mayweather tries to get to full guard but Patton has control of the leg.

Patton slows the pace down in half guard.
Mayweather could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mayweather is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Patton jumps into side control!
Mayweather takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Patton creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Check out the look on Patton's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Patton wants to control but Mayweather is keeping him busy.
Mayweather might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Mayweather tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Patton wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Patton passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mayweather!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patton scoring with strikes but Mayweather is staying in there.
Patton postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Mayweather in real trouble here! The ref calls for Mayweather to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
