Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jack Milpid!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Recard moves to clinch but Milpid breaks away

and Milpid counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Recard's guard now.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Milpid postures up.
Milpid sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Recard trying to control the position.
Milpid lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Recard keeping moving, preventing Milpid from controlling successfully.

Recard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Milpid can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Recard is looking for a triangle but Milpid pushes his legs off easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Milpid is pushing down on Recard's leg trying to pass to half guard. Recard is fighting to maintain full guard but Milpid has managed to sneak the leg through.
Milpid takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Milpid looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Milpid is looking for a kimura here.
Milpid is keen to just control but Recard is a slippery customer.

Milpid is looking for a kimura but Recard is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Milpid to get the leverage.

Milpid is trying to work for a kimura but Recard is defending well.
Milpid seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Recard does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Recard gets full guard.
Milpid with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Milpid won't allow Recard to sweep him here.
Recard wants to control the position but Milpid says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Milpid is looking for a kimura here.
Recard on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Recard tries to get out of the position.

Milpid seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Recard is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

A relieved looking Jack Milpid thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
