Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Blue Jay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mercurius Faunus!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faunus tries to clinch up but Jay circles away and keeps his distance.
Faunus throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Nice straight punches there by Faunus. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Faunus.
It looks like Blue Jay has been cut.
Jay moves out of range as Faunus strikes.
Faunus connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Jay shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jay is trying hard to land a takedown here. Faunus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jay slips a straight right by Faunus.
Faunus connects with a single shot there.
Faunus has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jay walks into a stiff left hand from Faunus.
Jay is rocked!
Blue Jay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Faunus scores with a sloppy right hand. Jay should have avoided that one.
Oh Jay is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jay forces Faunus back against the cage and clinches.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Blue Jay. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Faunus is pressed up against the cage. Jay has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Faunus down to the mat. Faunus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Jay tries to score a power double leg takedown but Faunus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jay somewhat.
Jay leaves his chin hanging out and Faunus seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Jay crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mercurius Faunus!
Mercurius Faunus decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
