Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mach II!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Nichols!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nichols shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Nichols fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but II is out of range.
II throws a series of punches but Nichols moves out of range.
II falls off balance throwing a combination
and Nichols counters with a three punch combo that has II backing up. II nods at Nichols to acknowledge the strikes.
Nice body punch from Nichols.
A jab from Nichols does it's job there.
II swings widly with a right hand
and Nichols counters with a one-two to the body.
II moves forwards but Nichols connects with a nice, crisp jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nichols throws a series of punches but II avoids them all with ease.
II swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

II decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Nichols looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
II is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Nichols keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Nichols tries to push off, looking to stand up, but II manages to move to mount!
II has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nichols tries to buck II off but he can't manage it.
II thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
II lands a heavy elbow.
II sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Nichols really doesn't want to stay on the ground with II. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
II throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

II working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Nichols looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by II! Submission of the night perhaps?

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Mach II!
After winning the bout, Mach II thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
