De Morcerf has chosen Non, Je ne regrette Rien as his entrance music. Enoch Whitehead has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Albert De Morcerf!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Morcerf fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Whitehead to the ground. De Morcerf is now in Whitehead's guard.
De Morcerf looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Whitehead had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. De Morcerf defends it easily.

Whitehead throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! De Morcerf escapes and throws Whitehead's legs to the side, diving into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Whitehead keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of De Morcerf's head.

De Morcerf tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Whitehead wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Whitehead really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

De Morcerf turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and De Morcerf manages to end up in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
