Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diogo Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Klaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Klaus takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pereira misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Klaus counters with a head kick that drops Pereira!

Pereira is rocked!

Pereira is working an open guard so Klaus takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Oh Pereira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pereira will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Klaus moves out of range as Pereira throws a body kick.
Pereira seems to have got his legs back now.

Pereira throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Pereira thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Klaus if he has to take too many more of those.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Pereira.
Pereira could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Tyrone Klaus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Klaus tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Pereira just stands there and leans against the cage.
Klaus is trying to break the clinch but Pereira is controlling him.

Pereira is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Klaus to keep the fight standing.
Pereira has Klaus pressed against the cage, preventing Klaus from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Pereira tries for a takedown. No joy.

Klaus is looking to break free of the clinch but Pereira has double underhooks.

Pereira dives in for a single leg takedown but Klaus sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Pereira jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Klaus walks away with a smile on his face. Pereira gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Klaus counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Pereira out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Klaus is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
