The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hwang feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Man's calf.
Hwang throws the kick towards the body but Man avoids it.
Hwang cracks the inside of Man's front leg.
Hwang throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Hwang throws the kick towards the body but Man avoids it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hwang.
Hwang tries to land a front kick but Man steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hwang delivers a nice body kick.
Man blocks a low kick nicely.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Hwang swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hwang lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

A looping hook to the body misses from Man. Hwang does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hwang throws a low kick but Man avoids it.

Hwang is trying to break free.

Hwang breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hwang is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Man presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Hwang seems to have recovered his senses.

Man thows a huge punch but Hwang dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hwang is not content to let Man control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hwang can do anything to dispel that myth.

A determined Fu Man didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
