Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny Dallas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Swayze Speed!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dallas keeps the fight on the outside.
Speed avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Speed throws a shot from downtown. Dallas moves away and avoids it.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Speed.
Dallas lands a jab to the nose.

Dallas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Still in half guard, Dallas seems content to control.
Dallas trying to pass the guard but Speed defending well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Speed manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Dallas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Speed, up you get!

and Speed decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dallas's guard.

Speed is desperately trying to improve his position but Dallas has a good base and remains in mount.
Dallas tries to control but Speed wriggling away.

Dallas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Speed is looking to escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dallas has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Speed's face.
Dallas tries to control but Speed wriggling away.
Dallas lands a nice shot to the head.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Speed is wriggling around trying to escape.
Dallas manages to capitalize on a mistake by Speed to take his back!

Speed is really stuck here.
Speed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dallas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Speed is taking damage to the body and head.
Dallas is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Speed up.
Dallas is riding his opponent, not letting Speed buck him off.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Speed can do anything to dispel that myth.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Speed gets caught flat footed, as Dallas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Speed working for a triangle but Dallas defends it easily.
Speed throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Speed trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Dallas lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dallas controls from within his opponent's guard.
Speed is pulling down on Dallas's head to control his posture.
Speed working a defensive guard but Dallas passes into half guard.

Dallas decides to return to a standing position.
Dallas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Speed as he jumps to the side.

Speed moves into range and clinches up with Dallas.
Speed is pressed up against the cage. Dallas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Speed down to the mat. Speed avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Dallas. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Speed drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Speed swings around for an armbar but Dallas sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Speed's guard.
Speed managing to control the position.
Speed controls Dallas momentarily but Dallas frees himself.

Dallas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dallas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dallas wants to control from the top but Speed keeps moving.
Dallas landing some decent shots from guard.
Dallas wants to pass the guard but Speed is keeping the position.
Speed looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Speed looks to land a combination. Dallas sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Speed darts in and clinches Dallas up against the cage.
Speed fails to pull guard.
Speed is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dallas pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Dallas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dallas lands with a nice body punch.
Speed misses the body punch

and Dallas moves into the clinch.

Dallas manages to break the clinch.
Speed doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Dallas counters with a shoot takedown. Speed fights it but they end up in guard.
Johnny Dallas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Swayze Speed.
Dallas controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Speed throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Dallas escapes and throws Speed's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Speed tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Dallas presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Johnny Dallas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Speed is looking to get to half guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dallas working the ground and pound effectively.

Dallas gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Speed throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dallas.
Speed keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Dallas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Speed is looking to control Dallas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Speed avoid being mounted?
Dallas is looking to take a break and control but Speed is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Speed is trying to get back to full guard.
Speed wants to get back to his feet.
Speed tries to kick Dallas off in order to stand up. Dallas Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Dallas remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Speed is looking to reverse the position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dallas moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Speed trying his best to control but Dallas has mounted him.
Dallas content just to control the position here.
Dallas thowing shots but they're missing.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dallas, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
