Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yorgi Apollonik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James McCoy!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Apollonik instigates a clinch.
Come on Apollonik - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
A left hand lands to the body for Apollonik.
Apollonik tries to break free but McCoy pushes him back against the cage.
McCoy is trying to drag Apollonik to the mat but Apollonik just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Apollonik lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McCoy backwards.
McCoy is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Apollonik pulls him back up using the underhooks.
McCoy has Apollonik pressed against the cage, preventing Apollonik from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
McCoy wants a takedown but no success here.
Yorgi Apollonik has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James McCoy.
Apollonik softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Still in the clinch, Apollonik scores with a nice short uppercut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Apollonik wants to break the clinch but can't.
Apollonik lands a right hand.
Apollonik slowing the pace effectively.
Apollonik working hard to break the clinch.
Apollonik stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Apollonik.
Apollonik tries to break the clinch but McCoy is controlling the position.
McCoy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Apollonik gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Apollonik wants to break the clinch but can't.
Apollonik definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Apollonik is defending well against a takedown attempt.
A nice left hand lands by Apollonik.
Apollonik lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Apollonik has had enough of the clinch but McCoy keeps him there for the moment.
Apollonik wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Apollonik makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.


McCoy is rocked!


It looks like James McCoy has been cut.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
McCoy is still on wobbly legs! Can Apollonik finish him?
Apollonik creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends McCoy's eyes rolling into the back of his head! McCoy drops to his knees and Apollonik pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yorgi Apollonik!
