Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Georg Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Planck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Overkill. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Georg Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Max Planck!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Scott gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Planck to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Planck showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Scott has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Planck trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Planck loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Scott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Planck on the ground.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Max Planck hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Planck keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Scott throws a leg kick which misses Planck's front leg but catches the back leg as Planck tries to avoid it.
We've been informed that Planck has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Scott tried to score with a low kick but Planck checks it.
Scott throws a head kick but Planck moves out of range.
Scott is looking to land body kicks.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Planck accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Max Planck hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Planck moves out of range of the leg kick from Scott.

Planck blocks a head kick by Scott.

Planck closes this distance looking for a takedown but Scott circles away.
Scott fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Planck checks it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Planck looking to sit in guard and control but Scott gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Planck pulls Scott in to control the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Scott is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Max Planck has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Planck closes the distance and clinches up with Scott, looking for a takedown. Planck pushes Scott against the cage but Scott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Georg Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Planck.
Scott missing with a left hand there. Planck was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Scott is trying to control the position but Planck postures up.

Planck might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Scott haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Scott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Scott avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Planck stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Scott swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Max Planck has got the better of the ground game so far.
Planck wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving.

That was a close second round but I would say that Georg Scott will probably get the nod.

Planck throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Planck avoids a kick to the body.
Scott with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Planck to score with a decent uppercut.
Georg Scott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Planck blocks a head kick by Scott.
Planck throws an off balance right hand
and Scott counters with a nice kick to the body.

Planck shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Planck showed some decent athleticism there.
Still in half guard, Planck seems content to control.
Scott is trying to stand.
Planck looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Planck is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Scott sees it coming and defends easily.
Scott is trying to get back to full guard.
Planck is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Planck is stalling here. Scott is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Planck seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Scott has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Both fighters take a look at the clock.

Max Planck comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Planck has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
