PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tymo Tymchynovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bud Weiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tymo Tymchynovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bud Weiser!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weiser tries a head kick but it misses.
Bud Weiser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Weiser closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tymchynovski quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Weiser perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Tymchynovski is not content to let Weiser control the position.

Weiser seems to be looking for submissions.

Weiser is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tymchynovski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Weiser.
Tymchynovski is refusing to be controlled, as Weiser sits in half guard.

Weiser is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tymchynovski defends it well.

Weiser is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Tymchynovski to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Weiser wants to pass the guard but Tymchynovski is keeping the position.
Weiser postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Weiser wants to control from the top but Tymchynovski keeps moving.
Weiser sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tymchynovski's guard.

Weiser is looking for a kimura here.

Weiser wants to work for an arm triangle but Tymchynovski is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Weiser has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tymchynovski is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Weiser is defending well.
Weiser is looking to break free of the clinch but Tymchynovski has double underhooks.
Weiser misses with a hook to the ribs.

Weiser has hold of one of Tymchynovski's legs. Tymchynovski is fighting the takedown attempt but Weiser gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Weiser throws a strike but Tymchynovski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Weiser is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tymchynovski defends well.
Bud Weiser has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tymchynovski tries to free his leg and advance position but Weiser is retaining full guard.

Weiser has his feet on Tymchynovski's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Weiser shoots in for a double leg but Tymchynovski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Weiser darts in looking for a takedown but Tymchynovski gets double underhooks and turns Weiser into the cage.
Weiser tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Tymchynovski's elbow.
Tymchynovski is pressed up against the cage. Weiser has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tymchynovski down to the mat. Tymchynovski avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tymo Tymchynovski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bud Weiser.

Weiser must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Weiser accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Weiser missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Weiser passes Tymchynovski's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Weiser looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Weiser tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tymchynovski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Weiser seems to be working for a kimura but Tymchynovski defends the submission attempt.

Tymchynovski won't allow Weiser to pass to mount.
Weiser throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Tymchynovski looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Weiser is looking to take a break and control but Tymchynovski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Weiser looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bud Weiser showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Weiser rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tymchynovski moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Weiser shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Weiser was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Weiser is working to tighten his grip on Tymchynovski's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Tymchynovski has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Weiser is really squeezing tight and eventually Tymchynovski passes out! Weiser breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

During a confident post fight interview, Bud Weiser thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
