Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eye Land (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Leigertwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Eye Land has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Eye Land seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eye Land!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dexter Leigertwood!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leigertwood dives in and grabs Land's left leg, looking for a takedown. Land pushes down on Leigertwood's head and hops out.
Land lands a head kick. Leigertwood smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Dexter Leigertwood has been cut.
Leigertwood steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Land. That one must have hurt.
Land lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Land misses with a jab, cross combination.
Land stuffs the takedown attempt from Leigertwood. Leigertwood gets slowly back to his feet.
Land delivers a nice body kick.
Leigertwood sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Land seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Land misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Leigertwood.
Land rushes Leigertwood and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Leigertwood scores with a shoulder strike.
Land tries to throw a body punch but Leigertwood avoids it by throwing Land back against the cage.
Land connects with a knee to the head.
Leigertwood misses with a knee to the head.
Land lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Land lands a nice knee to the body.
Come on Land - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Land misses with a short punch on the inside.
Land landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Leigertwood looks winded!
Land lands an uppercut.
Land throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Leigertwood is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Land gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Eye Land has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dexter Leigertwood.
Land escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Land swings for the body but Leigertwood moves out of range.
Land lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Land has managed to clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Leigertwood.
Leigertwood looking for a takedown.
A knee to the head by Land.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Land blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Land is pressed up against the cage. Leigertwood has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Land down to the mat. Land avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Leigertwood avoids the body shot from Land.
A chopping leg kick lands by Land.
Land connects with an inside leg kick.
Good leg kick by Land there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Leigertwood uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Land.
The fighters circle, before Land throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Leigertwood's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Land lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Eye Land!
