The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamondback displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Shamrock.

Shamrock feints and as Diamondback raises his hands in defense, Shamrock changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Diamondback wants to stand and escape but Shamrock is having none of it.

Diamondback leaves Shamrock with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Shamrock's coach down at Basics -LOD- was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shamrock's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Shamrock closes the distance and clinches up with Diamondback, looking for a takedown. Shamrock pushes Diamondback against the cage but Diamondback circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Diamondback grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Shamrock takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Diamondback cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
