Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rigoberto Lamas!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berzins lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Berzins seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Berzins.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lamas has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Berzins explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Berzins uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lamas.
Lamas chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Berzins can pounce on him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Daniel Berzins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Berzins fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lamas has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lamas is still on wobbly legs! Can Berzins finish him?

Lamas sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Berzins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Berzins feints a jab and as Lamas dips his head, Berzins unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Lamas right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Lamas falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Berzins smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Daniel Berzins!
An out of breath Daniel Berzins thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
