Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downs gets tackled into the cage by Guy. Guy maintains the clinch.
Guy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Guy is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Downs is controlling him.
Guy working a defensive guard but Downs passes into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Downs in particular looking to stall.
Guy wants to control but Downs is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Downs decides to stand up.
Guy rushes Downs and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Downs gets control of Guy's arms and successfully pulls guard. Downs will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Guy gets to his feet - Downs follows without any prompting.
Guy has closed the distance and engaged Downs in a clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Downs tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Guy is trying to push Downs away but Downs has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Guy shoots in and gets a takedown into Downs's guard.
Downs has Guy pulled in close to control his posture.
Downs manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Downs is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Guy to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Guy shrugs it off.
Downs looking for a guillotine from mount but Guy is having none of it.
Downs tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Guy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Guy is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Downs is landing with some decent strikes but Guy is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Downs looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Downs controlling the pace for now.
Downs seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Guy for as long as he can get away with.
Downs prevents Guy from getting the reversal.

Downs can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Guy is looking to escape.

Downs connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Downs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Guy is looking to improve his position but Downs isn't that keen on the idea.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Guy shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Downs napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Downs tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Guy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Downs is staying active underneath Guy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Guy trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Guy postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Downs wants to stand but Guy is controlling the position.

Downs is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Guy scores with a takedown into Downs's guard.

Downs prevents Guy from getting back to his feet.
Guy is breathing heavily.

Downs decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Guy drives through and clinches with Downs against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Downs.
Downs jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Guy walks away with a smile on his face. Downs gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Guy clinches with his opponent.
Downs is trying to pull guard but Guy turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Guy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Downs decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Downs goes for a double leg but Guy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Guy continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Downs. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Guy has had enough of the clinch but Downs keeps him there for the moment.
Guy gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Downs regains guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Guy won't allow Downs to sweep him here.
Guy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Downs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Guy postures up.
Guy wants to control from the top but Downs keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Downs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Guy manages to get himself to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sigh Guy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Downs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Guy avoids it really well and circles away.

Downs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Guy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Downs somewhat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Downs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Downs drops an elbow to the side of Guy's head.
Downs wants to get back to his feet.
Guy throws a strike from the bottom but Downs passes into side control!
Guy is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

You can see the frustration on Guy's face as Downs controls the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Downs has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Joshua Downs is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Guy shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joshua Downs.
