Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Samuel Vimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pithe Canthropus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Canthropus is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pizzaman - Trippin' On Sunshine. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vimes scores with a nice head shot.
Vimes throws a shot from downtown. Canthropus moves away and avoids it.
Vimes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Vimes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Canthropus sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vimes throws a looping overhand right but Canthropus ducks down to avoid it.
Canthropus throws a half hearted mid kick.
Vimes connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Vimes cracks Canthropus with an open hand slap.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Canthropus paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Pithe Canthropus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
