Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Manuel Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Suasuan Shoute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simpson gets a clinch.

Simpson has Shoute pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Simpson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Shoute tumbling to the mat - Simpson dives into Shoute's guard.
Simpson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Shoute working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Simpson.
Simpson throws a big elbow that misses.
Shoute tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Simpson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shoute has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Simpson has managed to get both his arms back between Shoute's legs - danger averted.
Simpson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Simpson postures up in Shoute's guard and throws a big left but Shoute blocks it.

Simpson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shoute looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shoute looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shoute!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Simpson is trying to get back to half guard.
Shoute wants to stand but Simpson is controlling his arm.

Simpson tries to buck Shoute off but Shoute is having none of it.
Simpson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Simpson is looking to control Shoute's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Simpson avoid being mounted?
Shoute passes into side control, despite Simpson's attempt to control the position.
Simpson is trying to get back to half guard.
Simpson manages to get back to half guard.
Shoute seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Simpson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shoute slows the pace down in half guard.
Shoute prevents Simpson from improving his position.
Simpson is looking to get back to full guard here but Shoute has managed to pass to side control instead.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Simpson can't do much from the bottom here.
Simpson is trying to work for a sweep but Shoute has mounted him!
Simpson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Simpson is breathing heavily.

Simpson looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Simpson tries to break free.
Shoute slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Shoute throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Simpson!
Simpson can't escape the position.

Shoute is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Simpson with him. Simpson is trying to defend but Shoute has an arm under the chin now! Simpson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
