Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Gauthier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Miro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gauthier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miro tries to avoid it but Gauthier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miro to the ground. Miro escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Miro pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gauthier moves in looking to clinch but Miro pushes him off.
Alexander Gauthier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Miro looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Miro misses with an uppercut.
Gauthier checks the leg kick nicely there.
Gauthier shoots for a double leg takedown but Miro sprawls well. He's pushed Gauthier's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Miro tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Gauthier wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Miro is looking for a sweep. Gauthier is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Miro is refusing to be controlled, as Gauthier sits in half guard.

Gauthier postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Miro decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gauthier's guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Gauthier. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gauthier has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Miro should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gauthier has tightened it up now! Miro should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
