Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vlad Moskoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Sphinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vlad Moskoff had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vlad Moskoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taylor Sphinx!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Sergei Dronov and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sphinx changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Moskoff looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Moskoff tries to bench press Sphinx off him but Sphinx keeps the position.

Sphinx thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Moskoff gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Sphinx is looking to take a break and control but Moskoff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Moskoff is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sphinx is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Moskoff makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Moskoff.

Sphinx drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Moskoff manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sphinx has Moskoff in his guard.

Moskoff thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Moskoff is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Sphinx keeping moving, preventing Moskoff from controlling successfully.
Moskoff is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sphinx is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Moskoff controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Moskoff stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sphinx swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Moskoff throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Moskoff drops back looking for a leg! Sphinx is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sphinx manages to kick Moskoff off! Moskoff jumps back into Sphinx's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Sphinx shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moskoff's guard.

Sphinx drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Moskoff dives on top into guard.
Sphinx is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Sphinx looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Moskoff is defending well. Sphinx quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Moskoff has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sphinx celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
