Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Fedorov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bam Bam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bam has chosen Military Soviet Hymn as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bam closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bam lands in his opponent's guard.

Fedorov working for a triangle but Bam defends it easily.

Fedorov wants to stand but Bam is controlling the position.

Fedorov has his foot on Bam's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bam works his way back into a safe position though.
Bam lands a couple of elbows.

Fedorov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bam is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Fedorov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bam's back instead.

Bam breaks Fedorov's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Bam is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Fedorov tries to bum rush Bam with a series of wild strikes but Bam uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fedorov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bam shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fedorov's guard.

Fedorov is refusing to be controlled, as Bam sits in half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bam lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Bam takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Bam lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Fedorov wants to improve his position but Bam is controlling well.
Bam is keen to just control but Fedorov is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bam looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fedorov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Fedorov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bam scores with a couple of nice shots.

Bam passes the guard and advances to mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bam uses his free foot to push down on Fedorov's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fedorov.
Fedorov tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bam has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fedorov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bam on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Fedorov is bucking up trying to escape but Bam cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fedorov is looking to improve his position but Bam isn't that keen on the idea.
Fedorov is working hard here to advance position.

Bam has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fedorov's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
