Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Danny Barns!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Bocus misses the target.
Bocus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A swing and a miss from Bocus.
Bocus scores with the left hand. Barns knows he should have avoided that one.
Barns keeps the fight on the outside.
Bocus fails in his attempt to clinch.
Barns misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bocus blocks a jab.
Bocus throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bocus definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bocus tries to close the distance and clinch but Barns swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bocus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Barns manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bocus looks to score with a jab to the body but Barns is just out of range.
Bocus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Barns was well out of range. Poor timing from Bocus.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Barns has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bocus is looking to clinch.
Bocus bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Coca Bocus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bocus moves in looking to clinch but Barns pushes him off.
Bocus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Bocus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Barns, pushing him back against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bocus.
Barns throws a punch but it's blocked by Bocus.
Barns swings wildly with an uppercut but Bocus uses good head movement to avoid it.
Barns misses with a punch on the inside.
Bocus throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Barnss head.
Barns tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bocus lands a hook to the side of the head.
Barns has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bocus avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Barns is working for takedown but Bocus is calmly controlling the position for now.
Coca Bocus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Barns.
Bocus unloads a knee to the mid-section. Barns lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Bocus tries a body shot but Barns blocks it.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Bocus.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Barns.

Barns has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bocus regains guard immediately.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bocus wants to stand but Barns is controlling the position.
Barns slips nicely into half guard.

Barns maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Bocus could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Barns has cracked it and Bocus is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Barns!
