Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dominic Berzins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rick Patton!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berzins cracks a nice hook into Patton's ribs.
Berzins misses with a wild body shot.
Rick Patton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patton bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Berzins throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Patton jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Patton tries to throw a body punch but Berzins avoids it by throwing Patton back against the cage.

Patton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Patton there as he acknowledges the shot.

Berzins connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Patton momentarily.

Berzins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Berzins takes one to the chin there.
Patton misses with an uppercut
and Berzins counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Berzins scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Berzins drops Patton with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Patton looks back up at him and smiles so Berzins waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Berzins throws a looping overhand right but Patton ducks down to avoid it.
Patton is still on wobbly legs! Can Berzins finish him?
Berzins misses with a double jab.
Patton lands with a shot to the body.
Berzins connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Patton momentarily.
Berzins thows a left - swing and a miss!
Patton throws a lazy right hand but Berzins sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Patton seems to have recovered his senses.
Patton throws a poor cross that misses

and Berzins counters with a crisp right hand that drops Patton! Berzins lets Patton back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Berzins works Patton's body with a nice hook.
BAM! Berzins delivers a spinning backfist that drops Patton like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Spinning Backfist). Dominic Berzins!
A relieved looking Dominic Berzins thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
