The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Margret shoots for a takedown but Jeffson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jeffson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jeffson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Margret counters with a shoot takedown. Jeffson fights it but they end up in guard.
Margret wants to pass the guard but Jeffson is keeping the position.
Jeffson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Margret. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Margret throws a big right hand that misses.
Margret thows a big elbow that misses.
Margret postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Margret forces his way into half guard.
Margret passes the guard and advances to mount!

Margret with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Margret jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jeffson manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Margret has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Jeffson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Margret yanks on the arm and Jeffson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Margret.
