Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stringer Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ivan Drago!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago shoots in for a double leg but Bell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Drago tries to close the distance and clinch but Bell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Drago throws a right and a left that Bell avoids nicely.
Horrible takedown by Drago or perhaps it was just good defense by Bell which made him look bad.

Bell gets the takedown into side control.

Bell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Drago tries to improve position but can't.
You can see the frustration on Drago's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bell is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Drago is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Drago has escaped and now he's on top!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That was a close round but I would say that Stringer Bell will probably get the nod.
