Yoong comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Overdose by Exo kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Merritt pulls guard effortlessly.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Yoong trying to control but Merritt is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Merritt striking off his back but it's not causing Yoong any problems.
Merritt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Yoong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jin Yoong.

Yoong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Yoong drives through with a takedown into guard.
Merritt preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Merritt keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Yoong is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Merritt is looking to improve his position.
Yoong slips a nice elbow through Merritt's hands, connecting with Merritt's forehead.
Merritt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Yoong is controlling the pace.
Merritt tries to get to full guard but Yoong has control of the leg.

Yoong uses his free foot to push down on Merritt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Merritt.
Merritt is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Merritt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yoong on the ground.

A very excited looking Jin Yoong rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
