Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between King Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lycus Lycan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lycan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Vasquez defends it nicely.
Vasquez doesn't manage to clinch there - Lycan circles away.
Vasquez wants to clinch.
Vasquez really is a fat lump.

Lycan fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vasquez sprawls well initially but Lycan persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Vasquez is looking for a sweep. Lycan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lycan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Lycan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
King Vasquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lycus Lycan .
Lycan throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Vasquez.
Lycan tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vasquez feints and as Lycan raises his hands in defense, Vasquez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Vasquez drops back looking for a leg! Lycan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lycan manages to kick Vasquez off! Vasquez jumps back into Lycan 's guard.
Lycan is looking to stand up but Vasquez isn't so interested in that idea.
Lycan wants to sweep here but Vasquez controlling him for the moment.

Vasquez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lycan is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lycan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Lycan counters with a good, hard body kick but Vasquez shrugs it off.

Lycan throws a head kick but Vasquez moves out of range.

Vasquez rushes Lycan and presses him up against the cage.
Vasquez misses with a hook from the clinch.
Vasquez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lycan .

Lycan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Lycan moves into the clinch.

Vasquez manages to break the clinch.
Lycan throws a sloppy head kick and Vasquez moves out of range easily.
Lycan is looking to slow Vasquez down with leg kicks.
Lycan dives in for a single leg takedown but Vasquez sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
