Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Puna Wai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Slone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chad Slone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wai feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Slone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wai stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slone swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wai looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Slone with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
