Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Otway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Monty Burns!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Otway looks to throw the jab but Burns is out of range.
Otway throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Otway throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Burns ducks under a wild hook from Otway.
Otway throws a series of punches but Burns avoids them all with ease.
John Otway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burns tries to clinch up.
Otway swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Burns moves out of range of the strikes.
Otway throws a hook to the side of Burns's head but Burns sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Burns tries to clinch but Otway is having none of it.
Otway drops Burns with a left and a right! Oh, Burns is hurt - Otway dives into side control looking to finish!
Burns is rocked!
Otway decides to stand up, so the ref orders Burns to his feet.
Burns is still on wobbly legs! Can Otway finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round.
Otway misses with a wild combination.
Otway connects with a stiff jab that staggers Burns - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
